This intensive training is designed for professional artists looking to gain communication skills and improve how they present and write about themselves and their art practice.
Over 4 weeks of lectures, discussions and exercises, participants learn practical methodologies to express their ideas more effectively. This programme equips them with everything they need to become better networkers, write compelling artist statements, win applications for residencies and grants, and everything else that matters to them.
ACT tutors also share details of their professional lives providing real case studies of what works and what does not in their respective fields. For example, the module “How to write better applications” provides insights on the application process of leading art residencies and how artists can stand out in a highly competitive environment where only 1% get in.
Artists taking this course develop competence in communicating their art practice while gaining an unvarnished view of how the art world operates.
We have gathered decades of experience from influential art professionals to provide training beyond everything artists learned in art school or academic courses. We only work with art world experts, who have achieved a high level of authority in their fields. Through practical exercises, analysis of real case studies, and constant feedback, artists gain professional skills and practical knowledge to pursue their career goals at any stage in their careers.
This programme has been rated 9.9, on a scale from 1 to 10, for the extent to which it positively impacts artists' professional and personal lives.
